Oklahoma Post partners with local dealership to help veterans

On Dec. 10, VFW Post 2976 and Suburban Chevrolet in Claremore, Oklahoma, teamed up to support community outreach projects that focus on veterans, service members and their families.

As a devoted member of the Claremore Area Chamber of Commerce, Post 2976 partnered with Suburban Chevrolet to further connect veterans with resources and support, including food assistance as well as disability and education benefits.

“We are committed to caring for our military community,” Post 2976 Communications Officer Jessica Forester said. “We are incredibly appreciative of Suburban Chevrolet’s generous donation to help us continue providing assistance to our veterans.”

The undisclosed donation is another philanthropic step by Suburban Chevrolet to continue uplifting Claremore’s military community. 

"Our commitment to the community goes beyond our showroom,” Suburban’s Community Outreach Liaison Preston Gooding said. “Through local partnerships, sponsorships and philanthropic efforts, Suburban Chevrolet is dedicated to making a positive impact where it matters most – right here in Claremore and the surrounding communities."
