VFW Accredited Service Officer Robert Stewart“I joined the military because I feel every citizen has an obligation to protect our country,” he said.

As a VFW Accredited Service Officer, Stewart has helped veterans and their families receive over $500,000 in earned VA benefits.

One of Stewart’s greatest challenges as a veteran has been adjusting to civilian life and learning he has Post Traumatic Stress. Following his experience, he encourages veterans to persevere through the claims process.

“I help veterans not stop or give up,” he said.

Stewart is a member of VFW Post 3784 Zachary Taylor Post in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He says his greatest accomplishments include being a father to his children and seeing service members advance in their careers and lives.

“I get excited when I see the veterans and families receive the benefits due to them,” he said.
