Promoting civic responsibility, patriotism, and supporting youth and local programs in communities across America are just a few of the many ways we give back to those who've afforded us our freedom.
The true character of America is measured by her communities and the people who work to improve them. Whether at a national level or in their own backyards, our members dedicate millions of hours each year working to spread patriotism and honor our nation's heroes. Here's how you can get involved.
The VFW's inaugural gaming league, Combat Tested Gaming brings service members and veterans together through esports. Working alongside veteran-owned KC Crew, this landmark initiative provides a new platform for veterans to hone their gaming skills while building camaraderie with other members of the veteran community. In its fifth season of official league play, Combat Tested Gaming will focus on the popular online game “Rocket League.” Combat Tested Gaming registration is completely free. Find out more!
Every day, men and women who have bravely defended our freedom continue to serve in ways outside of the military. The VFW is proud to count many of these men and women among our membership. The #StillServing campaign is a way to showcase and honor the ongoing commitment and service of our nation’s best and brightest. Whether participating in our annual VFW Day of Service or finding other ways to give back to your community, read stories of veterans #StillServing, and share yours.
