KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and its Auxiliary wish our U.S. Navy a very happy 245th birthday as our sailors continue to protect and defend freedom across our global waters.
The U.S. Navy is America’s naval warfare service branch and the most capable and dominant sea-fighting force in the world. Our Navy is comprised of more than 330,000 active-duty personnel, more than 100,000 reservists, and thousands of civilian employees who all serve courageously and honorably as defenders of the sea.
We thank every past and present sailor and your family for the sacrifice and commitment you have given our great nation.
