KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The nearly 1.7 million members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the U.S. and its Auxiliary joins with America in saluting all sailors on their 242nd birthday this Friday.
For more than two centuries, the U.S. Navy has time and again proven to be the most formidable force on the high seas. Sailors past and present serve with courage and valor, and provide humanitarian aid and comfort unmatched by any other country on Earth. Our nation is safer because of our Navy, and today as with every day the VFW just wants to “Thank You!” for your honorable service to our great nation.
